Your Purpose
As the Senior Manager of IT Insourcing & Offshore Operations, you will lead the strategic initiative to establish and manage offshore IT delivery centres while driving the insourcing of critical IT competencies. Your role will ensure cost optimisation and build strategic IT capabilities that align with the organisation’s goals. This role is based in Geneva.
Your Impact
1. Develop and implement IT insourcing strategies, identifying critical competencies for internalisation and creating detailed transition plans.
2. Establish and manage offshore/nearshore IT delivery centres, including location selection, setup, and operational management.
3. Oversee workforce planning strategies for insourcing and offshore operations, ensuring seamless transition and operational continuity.
4. Collaborate with vendors to manage transition processes, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
5. Develop cost-optimisation models and track the benefits of insourcing and offshore operations.
6. Build and lead high-performing multicultural teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
7. Establish governance frameworks and KPIs to measure the performance of offshore centres and insourcing success.
8. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to align insourcing strategies with organisational objectives.
9. Manage relationships with local authorities, vendors, and partners in offshore locations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Your Journey so far
1. You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. You have 8 to 10 years of IT management experience, including proven success in offshore operations and vendor management.
3. You have experience establishing and managing offshore IT centres, preferably across multiple locations.
4. You have successfully led large-scale insourcing initiatives and organisational transformations.
5. You thrive in global environments, managing diverse talent markets and service delivery models.
6. You have demonstrated strong financial acumen and the ability to implement cost-optimisation strategies.
Your Essentials
1. Strong expertise in IT governance frameworks and quality management systems.
2. Proven ability to build and lead multicultural teams across multiple locations.
3. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
4. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are beneficial.
5. Ability to work effectively with external partners and internal teams, delivering operational excellence.
