Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Fellow to contribute to the creation and implementation of strategic assignments related to trade development, including private sector issues and specific challenges of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
The successful candidate will work under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Adviser to the Executive Director and will be responsible for:
* Contribute to the creation and implementation of strategic assignments related to trade development.
* Carry out applicable research as required.
* Design, develop and implement strategies for effective Public-Private-Partnerships (PPPs) and generation of resources.
* Participate in high-level discussions and preparation of briefing notes and working documentation as required.
Requirements
* Master's degree in economics, business, international development, international relations or related area is required.
* A minimum seven years of relevant work experience is required.
* Knowledge of international trade development and trade related development assistance (TRTA) is desirable.
* Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable.
Work Environment
This is not a regular position of the International Trade Centre. The agreement for this Fellowship assignment is for a period of one year and is not renewable. Funding is provided by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation (MIF).
