We are looking for passionate Chefs, with excellent technical cooking ability, detail orientation, and a knack for luxury customer service delivery.
Our Chef team is responsible for designing menus and working to a budget, requiring strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with a resort team. Chalet kitchens are open-plan, providing a natural setting for guest interaction.
We ask our team members to be highly adaptable when navigating the demands of luxury hospitality. The right team member needs to work in an organized, methodical, and clean manner. The Chef team works individually across all chalet bookings in various properties, not being assigned to one chalet for the season. Our chalets range from 3 to 8 guest rooms and are supported by either a Host or Housekeeper, depending on the size of the guest booking.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver a fresh, exciting, bespoke menu for guests, including breakfast, homemade afternoon tea, and a three-course meal 5 days a week, accompanied by canapés and aperitifs, while catering for any dietary requirements or special requests.
Engage in menu discussions with the guest group leader prior to their arrival to provide a professional and personal service.
Plan and time meals to cater for younger children within family groups.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all chalet kitchen and dining areas, adhering to company standards.
Work flexibly in a variety of our luxury chalet kitchens throughout the season.
Manage all aspects of your chalet kitchen, including working to a budget and accurately recording expenditure.
Participate in chalet changeover days, working within the team to deep clean and prepare properties for guest check-in.
Shop locally for all ingredients and produce.
Collect and analyze guest feedback weekly.
Ensure all guest expectations are met or exceeded at all times.
Complete weekly guest preference feedback, damage deposit feedback, and accurately report guest billable activities.
Adapt to a varied schedule, working across multiple luxury properties and with different team members.
Present a positive image of Ski Armadillo, wearing the uniform or chef whites as highlighted in the team guidebook.
Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating and supporting colleagues such as Hosts, Drivers, and Housekeepers to deliver the highest level of service, exceeding guests’ expectations.
Requirements The Armadillo resort team is at the heart of all our guests’ experiences, representing the Armadillo brand throughout the resort and delivering luxury service to the highest standards.
