Senior AI Modelling Expert for Science & Research and Creation
Location: Geneva, Hybrid
In this role, you are responsible for developing predictive models within a team of Data Scientists, Technicians and Engineers in Formulation Performance Modeling. You work across a portfolio of Innovation projects with various stakeholders. You contribute to developing and deploying the latest, state-of-the-art technologies and skills to successfully create value in differentiated business group-specific applications: food, perfumery, and beauty.
The main factors for a successful application are:
1. Strong background in AI/ML driven algorithm and model development
2. Deployment of these tools to solve business problems
3. In-depth knowledge of F.A.I.R. data principles and ontology
4. Genuine interest and curiosity on the business application side and R&D

Your key responsibilities
5. Within a team of Data Scientists, Engineers and Technicians across different business groups develop code and algorithms for predictive models, (un)supervised learning, clustering, classification, similarity, model validation and versioning. Work with colleagues to deploy the model endpoints and maintain model performance.
6. Use your skillset for recipe (re)formulation and optimization, with tools such as MINLP, Bayesian optimization, and design of experiments, to deliver tangible business value.
7. You apply modern tools such as git, generative AI, graph and relational data models, cloud-native computing and API endpoints to do your daily work.
8. Contributing to F.A.I.R. data principles adherence within the organization, building data ontologies and workflows that support their ongoing curation.
9. Responsible for the successful delivery of Innovation Projects against technical, business and project management KPIs; ensure business priorities and requirements are clear, meaningful, and aligned through consultation with Business and Project partners. You play an important blended role of translator, project manager and modelling expert.
10. Plan and support the development of mid- and long-term project innovation programs.

You bring
16. MANDATORY: PhD or MSc in Data Science or related field with specific focus on AI / ML driven model development
17. MANDATORY: 5+ years in the Life Science industry.
18. Track record of strategic thinking, business development and experience in managing cross-function teams.
19. Experience leading complex projects blending scientific and business acumen.
