As a Senior Process Engineer in Visp, Switzerland, you will perform engineering work in a capital project environment. You will provide expert process engineering support to the site for ongoing production operations and new process introductions. Serve as the primary resource for implementing engineering studies, designs, evaluations, and improvements to optimize utilizations.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Project management for Capital projects in pre-CAR and/or project execution phase. Responsible for reaching performance, schedule, and cost goals for given assignments.
2. Estimate costs for engineering, construction, and prepare contract documents and support procurement of equipment by defining the specification.
3. Provide engineering services to optimize equipment life and plant profitability. Expected to interact with all plant personnel to identify, develop, and manage improvement projects.
4. Investigate new technologies in the field of expertise to increase plant profitability.
5. Coaches and instructs project team members.
6. Serve as expert and first point of contact for PED (pressure equipment directive) and CE conformity of machines.
Qualification & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field, preferred master or PhD degree.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant Process Engineering experience in an industrial setting.
3. Proven experience in Project Management and Process Improvement methodologies.
4. Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead initiatives effectively.
7. Proficient in SAP.
8. Fluent in English and German.
