The L2 Engineer plays a key role in providing AV technical and event support across all meeting rooms on the client's campus.
This position involves working closely with executive management and managing directors to provide various services.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver all services punctually at scheduled times and in accordance with agreed SLA's, ensuring a high level of customer service and proactive/reactive support.
* Produce and deliver weekly/monthly reports including faults, fixes, and trends.
* Elevate incidents to the client and/or Project Manager as required.
* Showcase Self Service AV and VC capabilities to end users whenever possible.
* Carry out proactive health checks according to SOP.
* Provide continuity support for service restoration from power downs, black building exercises, and other business continuity activities.
* Assist with software upgrades.
* Tackle video/audio conferencing problems by investigating faults and recommending further actions.
* Maintain multi-media/presentation rooms in good working order.
* Offer AV/VC setup and technical support across all meeting rooms and VC-equipped rooms.
* Support IT-related inquiries during support hours, escalating issues if necessary.
* Advise clients on best practices.
* Provide regular feedback on communication issues and service improvements.
* Train new starters and freelancers when possible.
* Nurture and maintain client relationships.
* Be flexible and assist the team in all areas of the department as needed.
Events/Broadcasts
* Support project management for live broadcasts across client sites.
* Attend/co-ordinate event production meetings.
* Deliver high-profile auditorium-based IPOs and results presentations.
* Collaborate with specialized production and facilities companies for events and broadcasts.
* Provide on-demand web casts posted on the client's Intranet.
* Set up and support video/audio conferencing, striving to ensure all sites are connected on time with good audio/video transmission.
* Tackle video/audio conferencing problems by investigating faults and recommending further actions.
* Co-ordinate global efforts.
* Assist PM with projects across all sites.
* Flexibly travel within the UK and EMEA.
* Maintain positive working relationships with global AV counterparts.
* Hold/attend regular meetings with global AV teams to discuss service and operations issues.
Skills Profile
* Excellent knowledge of Creston, Cisco, and Extron kit.
* Commissioning/installation experience in corporate environments.
* Good understanding of video conference standards and protocols.
* Working knowledge of networks.
* Industry experience in AV and VC activities.
* Client-facing responsibilities in a corporate environment.
* CTS certification.
* High level of customer service.
