Lilly Meetings and Congresses is a centralized global meetings team that offers best-in-class, end-to-end compliant and seamless execution of meetings and events, utilizing efficient tools and processes to accelerate business requirements and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
We take care of all aspects of health care provider and employee meetings for all business areas such as marketing, medical, and sales, delivering end-to-end support that includes strategic project management, consultancy, logistics planning and oversight, contracting, administrative and finance support, vendor management, on-site execution, and facilitating transparency publication.
Local Meetings and Congresses deliver consultancy and strategic project management in the implementation of meeting programs for all locally funded meetings & events. Together with meeting planning companies, we act as the central point of customer service and internal and external communication for all meetings-related aspects. We deliver an end-to-end service including any specific compliance or legal requirements, focusing on integrity, consistency, and high-quality customer experience standards.
Responsibilities:
Comply with global standards on meetings and events interactions with external parties and all other relevant Lilly policies and procedures. Be responsive to audit readiness and compliance requests.
Understand meeting program and needs of meeting owners and TL relationship owners and consult by providing project management expertise and direction to ensure fulfillment of meeting expectations.
Support the meeting program through different systems and tools focused on meeting planning & contracting processes. Initiate and facilitate optimization opportunities connected with processes, systems, and people.
Establish and maintain internal strategic partnerships with compliance, finance, procurement, and other functions that can facilitate cross-functional work.
Effectively lead, collaborate, and manage multiple relationships with external partners to positively impact customer experience.
Oversee operations across different teams with a project management approach focused on end customer experience. Coordinate efforts at all levels.
Ensure any local compliance or legal requirements connected with meetings are integrated into the process.
Share best practices across business units to enhance team performance continuously.
Act as the local advisor and expert on all matters related to meetings and conferences.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant working experience.
Fluent in German, French, and English - verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and expertise using systems, applications, or devices such as MS Office 365, SAP, and others.
Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or meetings and events background.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Requires business and/or technical knowledge developed through education or experience using discipline and understanding of key business drivers. Should be able to improve processes, products, and services.
Ability to create impact at different levels: immediate peers and across teams.
May lead small to medium projects with small to moderate risk. Effective and agile communication skills are needed.
Requires analysis of possible solutions to solve and anticipate a range of day-to-day problems including standard and non-standard requests. Ability to support solving issues within a team or across multiple teams over time.
High learning ability and flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing environment and support organizational change with a strong customer and people orientation.
Ability to work in a cross-country environment, highly diverse, and influence decisions at regional/global levels that can impact standardization and optimization.
Ability to deliver program education to meeting owners on policies, systems, planning, and other meeting-related aspects.
Hands-on and highly operational when needed, executing high-quality projects on time and within budget.
