We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Global Business Controlling for our Services division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of global finance management and strong leadership and management skills. The successful candidate will be part of the divisional leadership team and will report to the President of the division with a strong matrix to the CFO.
Your day will be filled with:
1. Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
2. Coordinate the division's forecasting process, including the formulation, analysis, and review of the forecasts for all departments within the division
3. Prepare divisional financial presentations to top management for monthly results and quarterly forecasts
4. Provide insights and benchmark on financial performance and challenge performance deviations
5. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies
6. Actively drive further development of controlling/financial processes and tools, working closely with other departments and collaborate on strategic projects across departments, e.g. implementation of new ERP system
7. Streamline financial processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the division
8. Develop and enhance division-wide standardized controlling systems, management processes, and tools
9. Ensure that the companies within the division comply with all relevant financial regulations and standards
10. Lead and develop a team of Controllers and Finance Managers across the globe
The experience we are looking for is:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
2. Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Controlling, Finance, or a related field in a global manufacturing- and distribution environment
3. Proven experience in global financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
4. Strong leadership and team management skills and proven experience in leading a team of Financial experts
5. Fluent in German & English
6. Strong understanding of international financial regulations and standards
7. Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
8. IT and data affinity, along with excellent MS office skills in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Power point, MS Projects, SharePoint) and others
9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
10. Self-motivated, decisive, performance-driven with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
11. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, and proactive in managing multiple tasks simultaneously as well as experience in managing larger projects
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Willingness to travel (ca. 20%)
