Collaborate with Finance and Procurement departments to formulate approaches for managing market risks associated with energy, alloy, and hardener procurement, as well as recycling margins.
Oversee the regional metals exposure portfolio and execute hedging strategies through our trading team.
Ensure that customer orders with fixed-forward pricing (FFP) receive timely pricing updates and that all accepted orders are hedged in accordance with company guidelines.
Evaluate the performance of metal price lag to assess the success of hedging activities and pinpoint the causes of any deviations.
Work closely with regional Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to gather up-to-date information on inventory levels and price commitments for future sales and purchases.
Provide periodic reports to European and Corporate leadership on risk management outcomes, including projections of future hedge variances.
Identify and implement enhancements to the metal price risk management processes to boost overall efficiency.
Assist in global and regional financial projects.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance, accounting, or economics
Strong understanding of risk management tools and processes (including LME-based hedging, FX, and energy derivatives), experience in metals mandatory
Extensive experience in risk management or financial operations of about 10 years, working in international environments
Proven ability to analyze, streamline, and enhance financial processes
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
Proficient in English (both spoken and written); knowledge of German and French is a plus
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel
