Job Summary:
Sy-Klone International partners with the top original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in mining, construction, and agriculture to develop integrated products for first-fit or optional-fit machine applications. Sy-Klone offers private-label products and standard Sy-Klone-label products.
The OEM Account Manager is accountable for growing Sy-Klone’s OEM sales channel by creating and sustaining long-term relationships with select key accounts such as Liebherr, Epiroc, Sandvik, John Deere, Volvo, and Cummins, focusing on solving application issues regarding cab air quality, engine precleaning, and electronic cabinet air quality. The desired outcome from this effort is revenue growth, profitability, capability development, and customer loyalty. The OEM Account Manager leads Sy-Klone’s OEM strategy implementation and identifies industry, competitor, territory, and regional information utilized for strategy planning and continuous improvement. The OEM Account Manager has an in-depth understanding of OEM application opportunities, solution qualification, and solution testing requirements. In addition, the OEM Account Manager is responsible for maintaining project timelines by developing project charters and driving requirements through the product development process in collaboration with the Sy-Klone R & D and the OEM project team.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Meets targets for profitable sales volume and strategic initiatives in OEM manufacturing and aftermarket support facilities.
* Works with the Chief Commercial Officer on developing and continuously improving the five-year strategic plan and Playbook for each assigned OEM account, including revenue, profitability, first-fit, optional-fit, aftermarket, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
* Responsible for implementing the strategic plan and achieving strategic initiatives for each OEM assignment.
* Identifies and develops business relationships with key OEM contacts that make and influence decisions and perform procurement.
* Travels to critical OEM manufacturing and engineering facilities to identify business development opportunities, support existing business, and strengthen relationships.
* Utilizes HubSpot (CRM) to document contacts, companies, tasks, meetings, emails, deal stages, and application engineering tickets.
* Collaborates with Territory Sales Managers to understand the current needs, wants, and desires of the OEM Dealers in each territory.
* Collaborates with Territory and Regional Sales Managers to understand how OEM products are utilized to perform tasks in the mining, construction, agriculture, and other industries (environmental context).
* Identifies OEM success criteria and qualification and testing processes and integrates these within project management tasks for new business development opportunities.
* Manages customer contract renewals and update processes, including communication of updated pricing and terms and conditions, facilitation of legal review processes, and management of contract provisions (e.g., reporting requirements, compliance audits)
* Works closely with inside sales, application engineering, and quality management to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and problem resolution.
* Establishes and maintains a deep understanding of the OEM’s business environment while driving growth and customer loyalty through a consultative, solutions-based sales approach.
Requirements
Required Skills:
* Demonstrated expertise in establishing productive, trusting relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and effectively navigating a range of customer organizations and functions (engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, and other support functions).
* Capability to grow revenue and profitability of key accounts.
* Capability in understanding OEM opportunities, developing solutions for application problems, proposing first-fit and optional-fit value-based solutions, supporting product integration, and organizing aftermarket support activities.
* Passion for learning and educating the OEM on how Sy-Klone solutions are engineered, applied, installed, and serviced.
* Advanced negotiation skills
* Experience within industrial markets; heavy equipment preferred.
* Native to a CRM-based environment
* Ability to travel regularly
Education And Experience
* Master of business administration preferred.
* Bachelor of Science
* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in key account sales, including account management and new business development; 7 to 10 years of experience preferred

Physical Requirements
* Prolonged periods of in-field support at various locations within Industrial environments.
* Must be able to climb, stoop, bend, and other positions to provide field technical installation and repair support.
* Must lift 50lbs at times and 20lbs regularly.
* Normal auditory and visual acuity, peripheral and depth perception, ambulation, and dexterity.
