We are seeking someone to join our team in the Roche Innovation Center Basel to explore new computational approaches for compound library visualization, development, and curation. The role will involve creating workflows and data processes to deliver insights on chemical space optimization and lead discovery.
The Opportunity
This position aims to create tailored options for accessing chemical space, develop and improve data processes, and deliver insights on chemical space optimization. Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and automating data workflows for the Roche Corporate Compound Collection and compound logistics execution.
2. Making high-quality chemical sets accessible for lead discovery efforts by streamlining data flows.
3. Expanding existing solutions or creating novel ones to optimize small molecule screening activities in collaboration with experts within pRED.
About You
You're a highly motivated individual looking to influence your own development and contribute to a dynamic organization. You have a passion for applying cheminformatics and data science to the biopharmaceutical industry.
* You hold a university degree, preferably a PhD, in cheminformatics, computer science, or a life science discipline with a focus on computational science or data science.
* You have extensive experience with state-of-the-art cheminformatics and data science technologies, including programming languages, relational databases, and specialized toolkits.
* You're familiar with pipelining tools and can generate interactive data visualizations using established tools.
* You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English.
