Marketing Manager – Global Export Markets (GEM)
The Marketing Manager – GEM is responsible for developing and leading the global marketing strategy for the distributor business across key export markets. This role will drive portfolio strategy development / optimization per region (EMEA, LATAM, ASEAN), product launches, trade marketing initiatives, digital engagement, and brand visibility, ensuring alignment with global brand strategy and marketing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Senior Global Sales Manager, this individual will s/he will have the following responsibilities, among the others:
* Lead the strategic global marketing development for GEM in collaboration with the Global Marketing team.
* Develop and optimize the portfolio strategy for each region (EMEA, LATAM, ASEAN), ensuring alignment with market dynamics, consumer trends, and distributor capabilities.
* Support regional teams in developing product launch roadmaps for key distributors, leveraging global best practices and regional assets (campaigns, trade stories, etc).
* Optimize marketing and promotional strategies across regions by sharing best practices and insights.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with regional marketing teams (EMEA, LATAM, ASEAN) to ensure alignment and execution of key initiatives.
* Develop and implement trade marketing strategies tailored to key distributors in each region, ensure alignment with brand positioning, market potential, and channel priorities.
* Guide key distributors in developing and executing trade promotions and in-store campaigns, ensuring strong brand visibility and promotional effectiveness.
* Support distributors in enhancing brand presence, visibility, and execution of marketing activities across trade channels.
* Conduct category/ market data analysis to identify distribution gaps and channel development opportunities for key distributors
* Design and maintain competitive activity tracking to assess promotion frequency, effectiveness, and trends in different trade channels.
* Manage the GEM marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation and ROI on marketing investments.
* Support the development and optimization of e-commerce strategies, ensuring distributors effectively position and promote products across digital retail platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Product Development, or a related field.
* 5-7 years of experience in trade marketing and category management partnering with distributors within the consumer goods industry
* Additional certification in Product Management, Digital Transformation, or Consumer Insights is a plus.
* Proven track record launching global/EMEA-wide products.
* Strong understanding of global and regional market trends in the oral care, personal care, or consumer goods sector.
* Experience working with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global/Regional Marketing teams to launch new products.
* Experience working across multiple markets on a global level, with an understanding of local consumer needs and regulatory environments in EMEA
* Strong background in consumer insights, leveraging data to drive product decisions.
* Available to travel up to 50% of the time on a global scale
