R&D Associate Electrical Engineer (80 - 100%)

This is a position with grade 15
Your role and responsibilities Develop and implement analog and digital circuits from initial concept to validation in representative tests, including:
Conducting technology research and validating its applicability.
Creating schematics and defining constraints for PCB layout.
Specifying verification criteria and executing verification activities through simulation and prototype testing.
Documenting and handing over developed technologies, providing implementation support in product development.
Identifying and selecting PCB components for new designs or alternative solutions.
Staying informed about state-of-the-art technology and ABB products, understanding technical drivers for R&D projects within the field.
Recognizing and comprehending factors contributing to customer value in R&D projects and organizational project portfolio, aiming to enhance operations and elevate customer satisfaction based on incoming requests.
Leading root cause analysis and corrective actions for issues uncovered during R&D and Qualification testing, collaborating with Development, Quality, and Test Engineering Teams.
Qualifications for the role Master's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, as well as a minimum of 2 years of working experience in electrical engineering.
Knowledge in designing digital and analog electronic circuits, circuit diagrams, and simulation tools.
Experience in microelectronic component selection.
Knowledge of PCB design tools, such as Altium, Allegro, etc.
Knowledge of Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), and documentation systems.
Experience with failure investigations and Root Cause & Corrective Action Analysis (RCCA).
Collaborative team player.
Knowledge and experience with Agile methodology is a plus.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
