What you will do
As a System Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our metering systems through comprehensive and continuous testing and validation processes. Based in Lucerne, you will work closely with our engineering team to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the overall quality of our products.
Responsibilities
* Set up and configure test equipment and environments to accurately simulate real-world conditions for metering systems
* Perform detailed testing of metering systems, including functional, performance, and environmental tests
* Document test results and report any issues or anomalies to the engineering team
* Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
* Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures and protocols
* Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless interoperability between different components and systems
* Perform power measurements on low power battery-driven products
* Perform environmental and reliability testing (HALT, ALT)
* Run accuracy and calibration measurement on state-of-the-art water test benches
Qualifications and experience
* Completed apprenticeship or equivalent technical training in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field
* Strong understanding of testing procedures and equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with testing software and data entry
* Proficiency in English is required. The ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for collaborating with our international team and understanding technical documentation
Great to have
* Previous experience in a testing or technical support role, preferably with metering systems or similar electronic devices
* Ability to work with continuous integration testing, experience with Azure DevOps or Atlassian tools
* Knowledge of mechatronic products including interaction between mechanical design, sensors, and electronics
* Experience in analog and digital electronics circuits
* Experience with IoT, LoRaWAN, Wireless MBus, NB-IoT
