About the Role
The Vision Engineer Fill Finishing is responsible for installing:
* Manual Visual Inspection (MVI)
* Automatic Vision Inspection (AVI)
* Automatic Tray Loader (TL)
How You Will Contribute
This job involves two phases: project and routine.
Project
* You will be the primary contact for visual inspection line and automatic tray loader.
* You will provide engineering expertise to the new plant extension project at the Takeda Neuchâtel site, including SAT execution, reporting, and internal project team collaboration.
* You will support project delivery with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and EpCM.
* You will organize, follow up, and review project activities with internal and external parties.
* You will manage communication between stakeholders to achieve project objectives and schedule.
* You will drive project risk analysis to inform management decisions.
* You will identify financial aspects for scope changes.
* You will propose corrective actions or improvements based on lessons learned from previous projects.
* You will define qualification documents in collaboration with quality engineers.
* You will identify required project documentation using QRM methodology and ASTM 2500 approach.
* You will ensure permanent project documentation updates and schedules with service groups.
* You will support maintenance and calibration of project activities.
* You will implement divisional and corporate procedures and internal standards.
* You will introduce, support, and optimize production and inspection processes, including OEE optimization, machine learning, and reliability KPIs.
Routine
Main missions related to visual inspection include:
* You will be a vision systems representative and SME for standard optoelectronic and optomechanical methodologies.
* You will ensure GMP and EHS compliance for operational readiness of automatic inspection systems.
* You will facilitate algorithm development and implementation through tool implementation, large image and video database manipulation, data visualization, performance evaluation, and unit testing.
* You will introduce, support, and optimize production, inspection, and monitoring processes, including OEE optimization, machine learning, and reliability KPIs.
* You will continuously monitor and evaluate batch reject figures at inspection machines or calculate resulting OEE key figures.
* You will support and monitor qualification and validation of visual inspection automation systems; maintain test case content.
* You will perform test method validation and non-product software validations for design verification tests.
* You will write and execute design verification and engineering test protocols; analyze data and author test reports.
* You will collaborate on design input clarity and testability.
* You will apply statistical and problem-solving analysis methods in investigations and experimental work.
* You will support process data analysis using Advanced Analytics and Tableau Reports.
* You will provide specialist support for trouble-shooting tasks.
What You Bring to Takeda
* B.S. in Optical, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Computer Engineering or equivalent is required; Master's degree is preferred.
* A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development in vision systems and different types of cameras is required.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical industry in an engineering function related to imaging and/or illumination sub-systems is required.
* Knowledge in Visual Inspection of parenteral products (USP ) is preferred.
* Prior experience developing and implementing AVI is preferred.
* Project Management Experience is required.
* Prior experience with V&V testing and/or Design Control processes is required.
* Prior experience developing and implementing new test methods is required.
* Qualification and Validation skills are required.
* Proficiency in quantitative analysis and hardware automation in MATLAB is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visual C++ is required.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks for fixture design and GD&T principles is preferred.
* Linux commands experience is preferred.
* Proficiency in statistical principles/tools and statistics software is preferred.
* Knowledge of a GMP environment is required.
* Relevant work experience at multi-national level organizations within the pharmaceutical industry is required.
* Experience and knowledge of process engineering and automated vision processes are preferred.
* A good knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, cGxPs, FDA guidelines, ISPE guidelines, ATSM2500, and ASME/BPE standard is preferred.
* Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, Trackwise, and PowerPoint are required.
* French and English language proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
