MISSIONThe Head of IT PMO is responsible for leading the Company's IT Project Management Office and directing the project management of key IT initiatives throughout the organization. This role ensures the timely, budget-conscious, and objective-fulfilling delivery of IT projects. The incumbent will develop a solid project management framework that aligns IT initiatives and resources with business objectives and oversee a team of project managers to ensure successful project execution. As a specialist advisor within the IT department, the incumbent will provide insights on IT technologies, trends, and enhancement opportunities to enable the effective, reliable, and efficient completion of projects. MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Strategy: Lead the IT Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective project delivery, aligning project outcomes with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio of IT projects, ensuring that resources are effectively allocated, risks are managed, and projects are prioritized based on business needs. Project Governance: Establish and enforce project management standards, processes, and best practices. Ensure that governance structures are in place for each project, from initiation to delivery and post-project evaluation. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to define project requirements, set clear objectives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Risk & Issue Management: Proactively manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project delays and disruptions, and actively escalate issues for management attention. Resource Management: Develop and manage a resource strategy to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects. This includes managing internal teams, third-party vendors, and contractors as required. Project Delivery & Monitoring: Ensure that all IT projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Provide regular project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders. Change Management: Oversee the change management process for IT projects, ensuring that end-users are prepared for new systems, processes, or technologies through training and communication. Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources. Provide financial reporting and ensure that cost controls are in place across all projects. Performance Metrics & Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success, track project performance against these KPIs, and report on project progress to executive leadership. Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts within the PMO, identifying opportunities for process optimization, project execution efficiency, and enhanced stakeholder communication. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of project managers and PMO staff. Provide coaching and guidance on project management methodologies and best practices. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional IT projects from initiation through delivery, with at least 5 years experience within the trading or financial services organization. Experience in IT transformations in a Trading / Financial industry. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and frameworks such as PMI, Prince2, or equivalent. Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks. Experience with vendor management and third-party integration. Experience in change management and communication strategies to ensure successful project adoption by end-users. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSExceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with senior executives and business leaders. PMP (Project Management Professional), Pg MP (Program Management Professional), or similar project management certifications. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting. In-depth understanding of risk management and issue resolution within IT projects. Ability to influence and drive change within an organization, especially regarding adopting project management best practices. Familiarity with enterprise project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Click Up. Resistance to stress and time-pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation. Agile and flexible mindset, reactive to requests. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to interact with colleagues of diverse cultures; respect for diversity. Good IT skills; proficiency in Windows environment is expected. Proficiency in spoken and written English and French is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset. Swiss or EU national or holder of a valid Swiss working permit.
