For our client, we are looking for the following profile: Chief Procurement Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead a
team of four and oversee both the strategic and operational aspects of our purchase operations.
The CPO will play a crucial role in managing our purchase, coordinating with various departments, including Logistics, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance, and ensuring sufficient products while respecting seasonal aspects and the correct product mix.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
* Drive strategic and operational excellence in procurement to support business growth and operational efficiency.
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best terms and quality.
* Collaborate with logistics to optimize supply chain efficiency.
* Work closely with marketing to align product offerings with market demands.
* Coordinate with customer service to address any product-related issues.
* Partner with finance to manage budgets and cost controls.
* Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities for product expansion.
* Establish KPI's and metrics to measure and improve procurement performance
Team Leadership:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four procurement professionals.
* Foster a collaborative working environment with cross-functional teams (Logistic, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance).
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Operational Management:
* Maintain daily oversight of stock levels, demand situations, and material availability, considering long delivery times.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, including negotiation of contracts, rates, and service agreements.
* Ensure that OKRs and KPIs are achieved and regularly reported.
Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in procurement
* Develop and maintain standard agreements and procedures for procurement operations.
* Manage risks associated with procurement activities, including production delays, quality issues and insufficient product function.
Requirements:
* Business fluent Italian and English
* Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on international procurement.
* Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and global sourcing, particularly from China.
* Proven experience in managing B2C operations, with a focus on online commerce is a MUST
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
