As our Head Chef / Executive Chef, you will play an instrumental part in the delivery of the venue concept of HYGGE and the Meeting & Events space. This will be done by working with the General Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, YOTEL London HQ, and HYGGE brand standards in the creation of menus, ensuring consistency & quality of the food and service being offered to our guests, as well as creating opportunities to activate the venue to attract outside guests.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Head Chef / Executive Chef will serve as a key member of the hotel senior management team.
More specifically, responsibilities will include the following:
* Develop and execute innovative menus that align with our brand and customer expectations.
* Manage and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
* Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the highest standards.
* Control stock, manage suppliers, and oversee ordering to optimize costs and reduce waste.
* Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in line with regulations.
* Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
As well as the above-mentioned tasks, the Head Chef will be responsible for ensuring all food safety and health & safety requirements are met.
The skills we are looking for are:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment.
* A passion for food and creativity in menu design.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills by using your outgoing personality to interact with guests, employees, HQ, and others.
