About the Team
IATA's Sustainability and Economics division collaborates with airlines, regulators, and civil society to develop policies, standards, and solutions for sustainable air transport development and environmental impact mitigation.
Ramp Up of Sustainable Aviation Fuels
The Net Zero Transition team focuses on climate change-related solutions for aviation, ensuring airlines' transition plans are supported. Key areas include promoting the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels across regions, leveraging diverse feedstocks without compromising decarbonization priorities.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You will work under the Head, Net Zero Transition Programs, focusing on technical research, project management, and stakeholder relations/advocacy activities:
* Data collection, maintenance, and analysis regarding SAF developments worldwide.
* Supporting the creation of a SAF database center through technology exploration.
* Campaigns to accelerate SAF commercial deployment.
* Development of guidance materials for internal and external stakeholders.
* Safety event coordination and content administration.
* Industry communication call or event management.
* Team material preparation for presentations and capacity building workshops.
* Providing timely input and advice for member airlines' queries and requests.
* Research and position papers for technical meetings and industry events.
We're Looking for an Individual with:
* 3-5 years of experience in a science/engineering discipline.
* A working understanding of fuels, policy, and SAF in areas like sustainability, commercial, or policy.
* A strong interest in analysis and using research to develop positions and solutions.
* International experience, especially with UN agencies, EU institutions, and international organizations.
* Excellent written and spoken English and strong communications skills.
* Multitasking and stakeholder management abilities.
