You will be part of the team in charge of the development of the Research and Development for the next generation of colliders. You will actively contribute to design, integrate, develop and qualify concepts of alignment solutions to perform the continuous position monitoring of components. You will collaborate with other research teams, inside and outside CERN, to benefit from the latest developments in this field.
Functions
As a survey engineer you will:
* Work in a multi-disciplinary team that develops innovative measurement techniques and new instruments for the next generation of colliders, inside and outside CERN.
* Conceive, design, develop and qualify concepts for high accuracy alignment systems or remote diagnostic tools, in collaboration with specialists in electronics, mechanics and informatics.
* Create all associated documentation: technical specifications, minutes of meetings, measurement reports.
* Present optimization results and insights to various audiences, ensuring that the implications and benefits are clearly understood.
* Perform the technical supervision of students and graduates.
