Job Overview
We are a research and development group at Sonova AG, focusing on creating innovative hearing solutions and services for individuals with hearing impairments and professionals in the field.
This role involves developing new products as a Mechanical Design Engineer. As part of our multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, electronics, and acoustics engineers, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of our hearing instruments and accessories.
Main Responsibilities
* Design and develop hardware components for our hearing instruments and accessories from concept to production approval.
* Participate in technology assessments to ensure the suitability and effectiveness of new technologies.
* Create detailed drawings, datasheets, and other engineering documentation including those required for design reviews.
* Verify components and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and quality through thorough documentation.
* Contribute to post-launch engineering projects, enhancing existing products and services.
* Develop and assess intellectual property related to product designs.
Your Profile
* Hold a technical apprenticeship (mechanical design) degree or higher education equivalent as a HF or FH Engineer.
* Possess 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design, specializing in small parts made from thermoplastic, silicon, and metal.
* Familiarity with 3D CAD surface modeling, preferably using PTC Creo parametric.
* Demonstrate creativity, self-motivation, and an openness to new challenges.
* Exhibit strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
* Proficiency in German and good English communication skills.
