Description
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps and Automation Engineer with a deep specialization in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure platforms to join our client services team. This role focuses on enhancing our managed services offerings through automation of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for deeply understanding existing processes and developing custom software solutions to automate.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Automation of Managed Services:
* Design, implement, and manage automation scripts for routine tasks in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure management.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and operations of software and security solutions.
Cybersecurity Automation:
* Integrate security practices into DevOps workflows (DevSecOps) to ensure secure software development lifecycle.
* Implement and automate security controls, monitoring, and incident response in cloud and on-premises environments.
IT Infrastructure Automation:
* Architect, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Optimize and secure network configurations, including cloud networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
Client Support:
* Work closely with Sayers services clients to understand unique requirements and build innovative solutions to address.
Research and Development:
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies in automation, AI, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
* Test and evaluate new platforms automation tools and services to improve efficiency, and consistency of our services offerings.
Collaboration and Documentation:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
* Document processes, configurations, and solutions for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.
* Integrate managed platforms into reporting systems for monitoring and executive reporting.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Technical Proficiency:
* Programming Languages: Proficient in Python, Go, or Bash for automation scripting.
* DevOps Tools: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions for CI/CD processes.
* IaC Tools: Expert in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for infrastructure management.
Containerization:
* Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
Cybersecurity Knowledge:
* Deep understanding of security best practices, including network security, application security, and data protection.
* Familiarity with security tools like SIEM (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack), vulnerability scanners, and IDS/IPS systems.
* Familiarity with enterprise security platforms such as Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba Networks, Cisco, etc.
Cloud Platforms:
* Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) including their DevOps services and automation APIs.
Modern Development Practices:
* Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, and API management.
* Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
Soft Skills:
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication abilities for effective team collaboration and client interaction.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as Microsoft DevOps Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) preferred but not required.
* Experience with machine learning or AI-driven automation tools.
* Knowledge of compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
Education:
* While higher education is valued, we place a strong emphasis on demonstrated expertise and experience in the field.
