The Role
System Support Engineer
We are seeking a results-oriented, operationally-focused engineer to provide front-line technical support and troubleshooting for our products. You will communicate across teams and have the opportunity to work within multiple systems, analyzing, identifying and resolving issues to help ensure efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Alert response from automated systems and internal users
* Critical thinking in software systems diagnosis under time pressure
* Design and implement robust alerting for all services
* Manage communication with key stakeholders
* Perform root cause analysis on incidents using Unix tooling and log analysis
* Participate in an on-call rotation that emphasizes eliminating repeating escalations
* Troubleshoot computer services in Windows or Unix environments
About You:
* At least 3+ years of technical work experience
* Experience configuring, diagnosing and troubleshooting real-time systems under Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Experience with scripting in languages like Python, Unix shell, or JavaScript/TypeScript
* Familiarity with modern camera features: aperture, f-stop, ISO, HDR, frame-rate, depth of field, and focus
* Knowledge of networking systems and hardware installation
* Operational experience with cloud computing (e.g., Amazon Web Services)
