About the Role
The IATA Corporate Communications Team is a high-performing, diverse group of professionals responsible for various aspects of IATA's communications and brand. This includes our corporate website, which attracts over 43k visits daily, plays a crucial role in achieving IATA's mission, and creates value for our members while demonstrating our expertise and influence.
As a senior member of the team, reporting to the Head, Corporate Communications, you will oversee the governance, strategy, content, design, enhancement, and maintenance of the corporate website. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that site content, functionality, and performance meet user needs while contributing to IATA's priorities.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your days will be filled with interactions across IATA as you build a compelling strategic vision for IATA's web communications and take hands-on responsibility for leading its implementation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving the site's governance and strategy
- Overseeing content processes, including planning, writing, reviewing, and editing content
- Coaching the editor community with guidelines and training
- Identifying opportunities for site enhancements and working with the IT team to realize them
- Supporting a seamless customer journey across the main digital platforms operated by IATA
This is a demanding role for an experienced web manager who is comfortable at both strategic and operational levels. The position is supported by a part-time intern.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
Has at least 8 years' experience in a similar role and a bachelor's degree in a related field
Is passionate about driving web processes to deliver a state-of-the-art website built on best practices for content development, SEO, and accessibility
Is enthusiastic about internal stakeholder engagement to bring the website to the center of our business using data-driven insights
Has experience in federating internal stakeholders and a dispersed team of content owners/editors towards a high-level goal
Has successfully delivered large web projects and experience working with IT and design agencies
Has advanced skills in CMS, GA4, GTM, Search Console, Lookers Studio, Siteimprove, Sharepoint, and other relevant tools
Has outstanding English language skills, with other languages being an asset
Requires minimal travel, approximately 5%
