Summary
The Analytical Genomics group, within the Discovery Science department in BR Basel, Switzerland, is seeking a highly motivated and talented recent bachelor or master graduate to join our team and work on an exciting project in the space of sequencing technologies for 6 months. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge genomics technologies, including single cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, and contribute to innovative research projects across different platforms and disease areas across Biomedical Research. You will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of biologists and data scientists, while having the chance to develop a general understanding of drug discovery and development, and especially to learn about how we power early-stage drug discovery research.

About The Role
Your responsibilities:
Gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art genomic technologies.
Establish and optimise novel custom workflows for single cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, including solutions for high-throughput barcoding experiments and BCR/TCR profiling.
Collect, analyse, and document experimental data using an electronic lab book.
Present protocols and results in internal group meetings.
Work on impactful research projects in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Recent Bachelor or Master graduate (preferred) in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, life sciences, or related disciplines (graduation no longer than 1 year ago).
Strong interest in genomics technologies and a passion for scientific research.
Experience and enthusiasm for developing and refining experimental methods.
Ability to independently perform experiments, evaluate data, and generate reports.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Fluent in English (written and oral); German/French is a plus.
Good scientific and technical knowledge in genomic molecular biology technologies (e.g., molecular cloning, PCR, RNA DNA or RNA sequencing) desired.
