The San Francisco Film School is looking for a passionate and seasoned instructor to join our vibrant faculty in our general education department teaching physics to our creative student body. The instructor will teach Introduction to Physics - Light and Sound.
You MUST have a bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of college-level teaching experience in your field.
We are hiring faculty members for the Spring 2022 semester. Teachers must be able to commit to at least 6 hours of teaching per week. Since many of our classes are being taught online, you must be comfortable with remote teaching and do not have to be located in the San Francisco area to apply.
Responsibilities
Faculty members are expected to:
1. Work with the school's Dean to design curricula for each class
2. Create a supportive environment for students and encourage them to do their best work
3. Perform all duties related to their teaching in a timely and professional manner
4. Attend bi-monthly faculty meetings
5. Coordinate with school administration on student attendance and grading
Qualifications
Physics Instructor
1. Minimum of three years of teaching experience
2. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physics or related field (higher-level degree preferred)
3. Ability to teach remotely
4. Experience with LMS (Canvas, Populi, etc.)
5. Ability to teach physics to creative people in a relevant way
Compensation
$50 - $60 hourly
