Job Description
We are looking for an Intern R&D Engineer to join our Chemtech, Technology and Innovation team in Oberwinterthur. You will be part of a dynamic team driving projects from the ideation phase to market-ready solutions.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
1. Collaborate in the development of structured and random packings, internals, and related products.
2. Conduct hands-on evaluation of developed products in hydraulic test rigs, absorption and distillation columns from laboratory to pilot plant scale.
3. Document, evaluate, and interpret experimental results to produce data-driven insights.
4. Support the enhancement of our testing facilities and even design new test setups.
5. Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from ideation through market-readiness, contributing to impactful projects.
Requirements
1. Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field, with strong knowledge in mass transfer and/or separation technology.
2. Strong interest & experience in hands-on, practical work in a laboratory setting, including conducting trials and experiments.
3. Previous experience in data visualization and analysis, with the ability to interpret and document findings effectively.
4. Basic mechanical skills and hands-on experience with pilot plants are beneficial.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD and programming skills is a plus.
6. Able to prioritize tasks, collaborate well within a team, and bring a proactive and innovative mindset to the table.
7. Fluency in English, other languages welcome.
