As an Interim Project Manager for ESG, you will assume global responsibility for overseeing and coordinating Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives during a maternity leave period. Your role will be crucial in driving the organization's sustainability efforts, ensuring compliance with ESG standards and regulations, and advancing key strategic objectives related to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ESG Strategy Implementation: Lead the implementation of the organization's ESG strategy, including environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance initiatives, to drive long-term value creation and stakeholder engagement.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, cross-functional teams, investors, regulators, and industry partners, to communicate ESG goals, gather feedback, and foster collaboration.
3. ESG Reporting and Disclosure: Manage the preparation and dissemination of ESG reports, disclosures, and communications, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
4. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the organization's ESG performance, track progress against goals, and identify areas for improvement.
5. Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate ESG considerations into risk management processes and decision-making frameworks.
6. Sustainability Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of sustainability projects and initiatives, such as renewable energy projects, waste reduction programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and ethical sourcing practices.
7. ESG Integration: Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, operations, human resources, and procurement, to integrate ESG considerations into business processes, policies, and practices.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of ESG regulations, guidelines, and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and proactively addressing emerging issues and challenges.
9. Change Management: Drive cultural change and awareness around ESG principles and practices, providing training, guidance, and support to employees at all levels of the organization.
10. Knowledge Transfer: Ensure smooth transition and knowledge transfer at the end of the maternity leave period, documenting processes, milestones, and key learnings for future reference.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Sustainability, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience in project management, sustainability, or ESG-related roles, with a track record of successfully leading and executing complex initiatives.
* Deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance issues, frameworks, and best practices, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders across the organization.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools/software.
