Accurate tracking and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data is essential to Glencores ability to manage carbon across the business, track and ensure compliance with its climate commitments, meet external reporting requirements and respond accurately to climate regulations and associated taxes. Our Carbon Reporting Management team in Baar is looking for a Carbon Emissions Analyst to support with our internal and external GHG emissions reporting needs. You will be working in a highly diverse international environment with the opportunity to contribute to implement and maintain consistent, robust and verifiable reporting of Group GHG emissions in compliance with Glencores climate strategy and regulatory requirements. The main tasks and responsibilities Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of GHG emission factors from industrial activities, transportation, and commodity supply chains. Maintain up to date emission factor and unit conversion databases for Group emissions reporting and ensure consistency of data usage across Scope 1, 2 and 3 calculations. Review and recommend continuous improvements in emission factor usage. Stay updated on applicable voluntary and mandatory reporting standards, best practices and industry guidance related to GHG emissions reporting. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements from a globally diversified natural resource companys perspective. Support the development of a GHG emissions reporting knowledge base, that enables robust, consistent and verifiable GHG emissions data collection, calculation and reporting practices across the Glencore Group, primarily where it relates to emission factor data. Provide additional support to the reporting, systems and assurance teams as required.
