Role Overview
The successful candidate will join the Private Wealth Client Solutions team. As a wholesale Private Markets sales professional, they will focus on establishing new and expanding existing relationships with private wealth distribution channels, primarily in Switzerland. This role involves managing current and developing new relationships and fundraising opportunities in the region, requiring close collaboration with the global team.
Key Responsibilities
* Cultivating and managing relationships with existing and new Private Wealth partners, including global, regional, and local banks and asset managers.
* Leading distribution projects and product initiatives, coordinating daily interactions across open-ended and closed-ended funds.
* Identifying potential investors, planning, and executing regular cold call campaigns.
* Presenting the full range of solutions to partner organisations, covering operational and regulatory aspects of products/projects.
* Assisting the team with strategic distribution projects across open-ended and closed-ended funds and handling day-to-day tasks.
* Collaborating closely with the private wealth teams (portfolio solutions, structuring).
* Gaining expertise in private markets and the platform, products, and investment strategies across various asset classes.
* Analysing competitors' offerings and positioning the company's solutions effectively.
* Developing customised, persuasive, and high-quality marketing materials and responses to client requests, handling queries, and providing performance updates.
* Managing the client journey from contract negotiations and onboarding, including CDD and KYC, to ongoing relationship management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the private wealth industry and 5-8 years of experience working with GPs and/or distribution partners. The company seeks someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and has strong networking and organisational skills.
Desired Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (MBA, Master's, and/or CFA preferred) with a strong academic background in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
* 5-8 years of relevant experience (preferably in the private markets industry) in business development, consulting, sales and marketing, or relationship management.
* Experience in fund selection and institutional sales within Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Private Markets is advantageous.
* Proven success in managing client relationships and converting new clients, with a track record of fundraising achievements.
* Knowledge of alternatives, particularly semi-liquid products, mutual funds, and closed-ended products, is a distinct advantage.
* Proficiency in business English and German - both written and verbal; additional languages such as French or Italian are beneficial.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Excellent relationship management abilities.
* Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
* Detail-oriented, highly organised, and committed to excellence. Capable of problem-solving with a client-focused approach.
