Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop a thorough understanding of the business area/client group's results and the key drivers that influence P& L performance.
* Analyze historic, current, and forecasted performance data to provide monthly financial analysis, insight, and explanation of performance, highlighting emerging issues or trends and recommending corrective actions.
* Interpret and explain performance within the business, providing recommendations on areas for improvement.
* Support and influence key operational and strategic decisions by providing financial insights and challenge.
* Translate operational targets into executable in-year plans, partnering with client groups to drive actions to meet targets.
* Advise on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities, reviewing actual performance to make recommendations and provoke interventions required to drive down costs, improve margins, and convert P&L into cash.
* Own and drive initiatives focused on closing variances with the business, ensuring business understands and delivers against KPIs.
* Facilitate ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues at a strategic level, supporting strategy development by providing financial performance insights and recommendations.
* Evaluate investment options from a financial perspective, providing a long-term view of the impact on key KPIs for client groups/business areas.
* Support the management of the capex budgeting process, accurately forecasting capital spending and depreciation for the development of budgets and long-term plans for capital commitments.
* Identify and provide financial implications for all projects/business initiatives, contributing to business cases and ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights and constructive challenge.
Requirements
* 5+ years post-qualification experience in an accounting or financial managerial position.
* University degree or equivalent.
* Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) in countries where applicable.
* Gained experience in FMCG.
* Swiss citizen or holder of a valid required work permit in Switzerland.
* Business and financial analysis experience.
* Microsoft Project skills, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
* Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to engage people at all levels both internally and externally.
* Ability to influence business and finance colleagues, think long-term, bring multiple stakeholders, and conflicting viewpoints to an objective resolution, and constructively challenge assumptions and thinking.
* Impactful report writing and presentation skills.
