Our team is made up of more than +65 talented people between our offices in Switzerland (Lausanne and Zurich). We are currently looking for a Head of Category Management & Supply Chain to strengthen our team in Lausanne or Zurich. About the role:
Reporting directly to the Head of e Commerce, the Head of Category Management & Supply Chain will play a crucial role in driving the success of the company’s e Commerce business. By leading the category management team and developing action-oriented plans, this person will directly influence sales growth and profitability. It's a position that blends vision with execution, requiring a strong background in sales, marketing, category management and supply chain to navigate both the big picture and the day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with broad experience in e Commerce, capable of translating strategies into tangible results. The person will be responsible for guiding the team towards achieving business goals, ensuring the company’s product categories thrive in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities of this position, based in Lausanne or Zurich, are: Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive category management measures to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Develop and implement supply chain initiatives aligned with company goals to optimize procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, negotiate favourable terms, and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with overall business goals.
Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing category management team.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Sales & Profitability:
Drive sales growth and profitability within assigned product categories in various e Commerce channels.
Monitor category performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize revenue and market share.
Product & Assortment Management:
Oversee product assortment planning and lifecycle management.
Work closely with partners and establish sustainable relationships.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on category performance, sales forecasts, and market analysis.
Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in e Commerce category management, sales, marketing and/or supply chain management.
Proven track record of leading successful category management initiatives and driving sales growth.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
Pragmatic hands-on-mentality.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using e Commerce category management software and tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English and German required. French and Swiss German as a plus.
