Job Summary
This role involves providing comprehensive support to daily cargo and logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination with buyers, logistics teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the daily cargo and logistics operation by liaising with relevant parties to prepare for loading, vessel nomination, and laboratory testing arrangements.
* Collaborate with logistics teams to monitor vessel loading progress and ensure timely document presentation for customs clearing and discharge operations.
* Handle payments associated with third-party logistics services and communicate with providers on cargo delivery and import/export clearance matters.
* Validate demurrage charges and process payment or billing accordingly.
* Take financial responsibility for voyage execution and contracts, negotiating protective terms and conditions.
* Optimize voyage efficiency, report results, and provide operational/customer follow-up.
* Promote information sharing on freight market trends across the global commercial team.
* Plan and manage inventory logistics between production plants and terminals, achieving supply chain optimization between production centers, ocean freight, and storage hubs.
Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Shipping, or related fields.
* No less than 5 years of experience in bulk cargo shipping, freight chartering, gained in a trading company, broking, ship owners/operators, or a shipping-focused organization.
* Able to build strong relationships with customers, freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams.
* Skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities.
* Able to work independently with high proficiency in English.
* Experience in supply chain planning and optimization is an asset.
* Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
