About the Role: The person responsible for end-to-end General Trade business of the defined territory will implement overall Strategic sales plans, targets and tools to monitor sales achievements. This role involves managing a team of RSO/DSO/ISP in the defined territory.
Main Responsibilities:
* Overall responsible for revenue through multiple Distribution & Retail channels in respective states of India assigned.
* Identifying and building strategic partnerships for incremental growth with strong focus on margin.
* Building strong relationships with all General Trade Distributors and ensuring strong Retail presence of all Harman Lifestyle SKUs.
* Sourcing SKUs strategically and distributing across channels.
* Maximizing Harman's revenue, growth and visibility.
* Participating in developing and updating Harman product choices for respective channels.
* Maintaining up-to-date market and competition landscape knowledge.
* Taking ownership of service and replacements across channels, working with the support team to minimize issues.
* Liaising with marketing teams to ensure all Retail channels receive required marketing support for selling Harman products.
* Maintaining consistent growth in market penetration & Brand visibility across the region.
* Preparing monthly reports of Distributors Purchase & Sales for internal sales analysis.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
* 8-10 years of progressive experience in sales/business development roles in multiple markets.
* Proficient computer experience (Excel, Access, Word, Internet, PowerPoint).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong administrative proficiency and customer liaison skills.
* Strategic and operational strength – ability to synthesize complex information into a simple strategy and execute it.
* Strong consumer products orientation – keen understanding of consumer wants and needs for creating market-winning retail sales strategies.
* Solid planning and organization skills – managing complex projects and schedules necessary for this global retail operations role.
* Good collaboration skills – working with people and teams from all functions within Harman and full range of industry consumer customers.
* Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking – constantly pushing new ideas and programs to solve sales and market challenges.
* Business acumen – solid business and financial background.
Nice to Have:
* Extensive Sales & Distribution experience in multiple market sales, preferably in electronics manufacturing, consumer electronics, computer hardware, automotive and other relevant industries.
* Dynamic builder of relationships with customers, identifying new areas of opportunity and negotiating complex business deals for mutual benefit.
* Providing updated market feedback to vertical market and target market specialists.
* Interfacing with sales & marketing teams to maximize sales launches.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Willingness to travel up to 70% domestically.
