Medtronic is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects, equipment acquisition, and process validation for manufacturing lines of market-released products.
In this role, you will oversee the operational aspects of projects within the organization's Project Management Office and perform acquisition, implementation, and validation activities as needed.
A Day in the Life
1. Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes through equipment design and implementation or modifications to existing equipment.
2. Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining scope, timeline, resource requirements, and budget estimates for equipment purchase and implementation.
3. Create and manage the project budget, including cost tracking and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
4. Assess potential risks associated with equipment purchase and implementation, develop risk mitigation strategies, monitor issues, and address them promptly.
5. Collaborate with departments such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, and reliability to align equipment purchase and implementation with organizational goals and requirements.
6. Oversee project execution, coordinate activities, and perform necessary tasks to ensure equipment purchase, installation, and validation according to specifications.
7. Verify that medical device manufacturing equipment meets regulatory and quality standards, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.
8. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, preparing progress reports, and addressing concerns or issues related to the project.
Essential Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. At least 7 years of experience in medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
3. Fluency in French and English.
4. Experience in equipment acquisition and optimization, as well as Compliance/Quality Systems Regulations (e.g. GMP's, process/document controls, CAPA, audits).
5. Project management fundamentals (project planning, work breakdown structures, scheduling, executing, monitoring, and closing) within cost, schedule, and scope constraints.
6. Knowledge and practice of Lean Manufacturing (e.g. continuous improvement mindset, process excellence).
7. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
8. Strong project management skills.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience in automation design.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
3. Fluency in another European language.
