The purpose of this role is to create educational content and to develop global education strategies. As a Color Expert, you will design industry-leading education strategies, brand collaterals, and educational content, tools, and formats for color and education programs with a digital first mindset.
This role requires close collaboration with the multifunctional team, especially marketing, R&D, internal stakeholders, and external agency partners.
The work will focus on seminar, service, and product innovations to grow the salon business and continue to be the No 1 Salon Color Brand in the world.
Core to this role is to develop hair and education content with our creative team and design aspirational business driving tools for salons worldwide. The process of creating and collaborating with external stylists and industry icons for qualification and hair workshops, hair innovation (product and services), education and content, and lastly produce visual assets for the brand at Wella Professional photo shoots.
Working in a multicultural and very dynamic environment requires agility and entrepreneurial skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Innovation and Activity Masterplan - Design of Education Elements:
1. Education strategy development for color education initiatives
2. Design and production of education materials with a digital first mindset for tool boxes (with agency partners)
3. Plan and execute at photo, video shoots and general content creation incl. preparation and post production
4. Creative look & service definition inline with the initiative with multi-functional input
5. Product and service development (with multifunctional team)
6. Product qualification workshops and managing outcomes
7. Initiative toolboxes in collaboration with multifunctional team
Digital Education & Tools:
1. E-education modules creation and execution
2. Online and SoME content update and creation
3. Stay informed of industry trends new technologies to explore new tools and executions for education to grow reach and optimize resources.
4. Explore the use of Ai to innovate and improve education assets and simplify work globally
Global Training Facilitation:
1. Co-facilitate and organize online and face to face training sessions for teams across the world to bring to life the applicable initiatives.
2. Work closely with local markets to support local training needs related to your activities
3. Timely follow-ups where needed to offer continuous support to local frontline
QUALIFICATIONS
Craft:
1. Extensive experience in all aspects of hairdressing
2. Min. 10 years’ experience in HD industry
3. Excellent camera/presentation skills in English
Educate/Inspiration:
1. 5+ years’ experience in education, as trainer or education manager
2. High communication, presentation and collaboration skills. Media savvy and familiar with video work.
3. Able to engage, collaborate with, and influence external top artists/stylists.
4. Passionate and able to teach Wella Professionals color portfolio
5. Recognizing and able to commercialize product, services and business opportunities through education
6. Digitally savvy, at ease with digital, social media and activation plans
7. Knowledge of digital education programs and adult learning experiences
8. Familiar with creating content and have finger on the pulse on how digital education evolves
9. Curiosity to identify new tools and executions for education to gain broader reach and achieve resource optimization
Management:
1. Strong leadership skills (envisioning, enabling & energizing) preferably within an international and multifunctional environment
2. Self-initiative and commitment
3. Organization and structure required to manage high complexity under pressure and within tight timelines
4. At ease with changing priorities and flexible to adjust responsibilities
Other competencies:
1. Fluent in English written and oral
2. Advanced MS Office skills
