Your key responsibilities will be:
* Perform physical testing of electroplated metallic layer.
* Sample preparation and inspection: Plating bath makeup; Galvanizing or metal electroplating; Thickness measurement using XRF; metal cross-section; surface inspection with optical microscope (experience in electron microscope is a plus).
* Analysis of electroplating bath: Titration of metallic ions in aqueous solution, UV-vis method, IR analysis; knowledge of HPLC or ICP is a plus.
* Organize sample shipment.
* Adapt testing conditions or set up new tests or new test methods.
* Follow work requests.
* Collect and compile data from tests.
* Analyze results obtained / Write reports.
* Communicate the results to engineers.
* Manage lab infrastructures: Responsible for equipment (set-up, maintenance, procedures, safety).
A successful candidate must have:
* Preferably a degree or CFC or Bac in Material Science, Mechanical Science, Physics or Chemistry laboratory.
* Rigorous and organized person.
* Experience in laboratory safety.
* Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
* Independent and proactive with minimal supervision.
* Fluency in German and English is essential.
This is a role under a third-party contract, where you will work alongside the dynamic team at DuPont on various challenging projects.
