Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Developer to join our team at CERN. As a key member of our software development lifecycle, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying critical web applications that support CERN's operations safety.
Your Responsibilities:
* Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and define solution architectures.
* Back-end Development: Develop robust back-end features using Java and Spring Boot.
* Front-end Development: Build intuitive front-end interfaces with ReactJS.
* CID/CD Management: Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, OpenShift, Docker, etc).
* User Support: Work closely with end-users to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
* Documentation: Maintain and enhance technical documentation.
Key Projects:
* Analysis, Classification and Declaration Tool (CRONOS): Develop a new software application to analyze radiation lab results and facilitate radioactive waste shipments.
* Statistical Safety Tool (safety reporting): Contribute to the development of a statistical tool to analyze and visualize safety-related data.

Eligibility Criteria:
* Nationality: You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
* Experience: By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Information Technology/Computer Science (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
* CERN Contract: You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
* University Degree: Applicants without a University degree are not eligible.
* PhD: Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

This is a 2-year contract position, with a possible extension up to 3 years. The starting date will be July 1st, 2025. We offer a competitive salary ranging between 5,196 and 5,716 Swiss Francs (net of tax), plus coverage by CERN's comprehensive health scheme and membership of the CERN Pension Fund. Depending on your individual circumstances, you may also be eligible for installation grants, family allowances, payment of travel expenses, and 30 days of paid leave per year.
