Jobdescription We''re looking for a passionate Formulation Scientist ready to lead innovation and push the boundaries of fragrance development. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Scientist, youll be at the heart of our R&D efforts, working hands on in the lab, pilot plants, and with third party manufacturers. Your work will drive the development of new products, improve processes, and enhance capabilities. Formula Development: Design and refine formulas based on briefs from Marketing or regulatory reformulation needs. Experiment Design: Collaborate with supervisors to plan experiments and schedule project activities. Lab Execution: Accurately prepare lab batches, match colors of fragrance juices, conduct stability tests, and analyze results. Team Support: Guide lab technicians in preparing batches and conducting stability readings. Comprehensive Testing: Initiate and document all formula tests, including microbiological, safety, and claims testing. Production Scale Up: Lead the scale up of new formulas and pilot tests in factories, ensuring the necessary resources and support are in place. Creative Problem Solving: Address complex challenges with innovative solutions and technical expertise. Sound Decision Making: Apply good judgment to make practical, timely, and technically sound decisions. Project Reporting: Regularly update supervisors or senior management on project progress. Detailed Documentation: Maintain accurate lab records, including batch cards, manufacturing instructions, specifications, and ingredient listings. Cross Functional Communication: Collaborate with various teams across the organization to share insights and project information. Raw Material Exploration: Meet with suppliers to source novel ingredients and explore new possibilities. Continuous Innovation: Seek opportunities to enhance technical capabilities, processes, and resources to stay ahead in the luxury fragrance industry. Multi Task Management: Oversee and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met. PROFILE University degree in related science field or equivalent or Technical Vocation Degree with demonstrated experience. Fluency in English, any other language is a plus.
