Work hours are subject to change & will be determined by workload and shift coverage needs. Typically, Day Shift will start at 5:00AM or 7:00AM and end at 3:30PM; Typically, Night Shift will start at 3:30PM and will end at 12:00AM or 2:00AM.

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer, and Power Generation markets.
Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Machine personnel, Supervisor, and Lead Man
Capable of setting up & operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, tool post grinders, and other equipment)
Operate manual and automatic feeds to 0.0002” as required for final cuts
Complete assigned jobs start to finish with little or no supervision. This includes the ability to perform the following:
Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches that may require intermediate math and problem-solving skills to calculate dimensions not specified on print.
Have and maintain ability to use and operate the overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts
Maintain LEAN objectives within the department
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Experience as a Manual machinist
Experience with both CNC and manual machining
Field machinist experience
