POSITION OVERVIEW
As an IT Application Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of critical software applications within our organization. You will work in coordination with key stakeholders, ensuring that our applications align with business objectives, meet user requirements, and adhere to industry standards. Your responsibilities will include managing the entire application lifecycle, from conception to retirement, while optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness. With your strategic vision and technical expertise, you will drive innovation, manage risks, and enhance the overall performance of our application ecosystem.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with Global Head of IT to develop and implement systems/applications roadmap.
2. Analyse and interpret business operational requirements and use them to inform systems design.
3. Configure/Maintain existing Oracle Opera environment(s) (remotely, with travel as-needed).
4. Implement a considered but agile approach in response to short business lead times.
5. Apply technical knowledge and systems experience to address real world business requirements.
6. Implementing processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of stability, resilience and optimisation of systems/applications.
7. Streamlining policies and procedures related to key IT systems and applications.

9. Management of downtime and service interruption to help guide swift recovery with minimal business impact.
10. Collaborating with senior stakeholders across commercial and operations teams to develop and drive application optimisation.
11. Provide technical leadership in adoption and implementation of standard operating procedures.
12. Proactive management of applications and assessment of emerging trends to ensure evolution of system roadmap.
13. Strong vendor relationships and SLA / performance measurement and management of key vendors.
14. Monitor daily progress of Oracle Opera related projects and provide timely detailed updates to Head of Infrastructure and IT as well as other key stakeholders.
15. Organise reports, invoices, contracts and other financial/budgetary documentation as required.
16. Realign timescale expectations where programme and project slippage has occurred.
QUALIFICATIONS
17. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
18. Proven experience in application development, deployment, and management, with at least [2] years in a leadership role.
19. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
20. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
21. Solid grasp of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
22. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
23. Strategic mindset, with the ability to envision long-term objectives and translate them into actionable plans.
24. Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile ScrumMaster are a plus.
25. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Any additional language is a plus .
26. Hospitality industry experience or comparable work experience in the same or similar role is required.
27. UK or Swiss/EU nationality or existing working permit in Switzerland is required.
28. Proven experience in stakeholder management, providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes, ability to liaise with stakeholder at all levels.
29. Excellent time management, organisational skills with the ability and desire to meet project, task, and/or assignment deadlines.
30. Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and consistency of work.
