Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Communications Engineer to join our team at Stadler Signalling.
Main Responsibilities
* Design and implement template radio architectures tailored to project requirements and integrate performance characteristics according to customer specifications.
* Configure and optimize Data Communication Systems (DCS) for Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC Systems).
* Evaluate DCS Design and Architecture to enhance system architecture focusing on Network Security aspects.
* Manage network administration for CBTC Communication Components.
* Conduct system testing and validation of DCS reference architecture and design.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering from a recognized university with a specialization in wired and wireless network technologies (Wi-Fi and LTE).
* Proficient in principles, practices, methods, and emerging trends in communications engineering such as radio frequency allocations, signal strength measurements, and tolerances.
* Hands-on experience in radio design (radio propagation, network layout, antenna selection, fast roaming, radio interference survey, and radio link budget) and network configuration (layer 2 & 3).
* Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
