JOB DESCRIPTION
At BRP, we create new ways for people to move on dirt, snow, water, road, and everywhere in between. We manufacture some of the greatest rides on the planet, including Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and pontoons, Can-Am on and off-road vehicles, Alumacraft and Quintrex boats, Manitou pontoons and Rotax marine propulsion systems as well as Rotax engines for karts and recreational aircraft.
The world is our playground, and we’re looking for a passionate communications expert to join our Global PR team to oversee day-to-day consumer PR for our brands, specifically in the EMEA region.
As a Public Relations Specialist for this specific region, your primary responsibility will be building and initiating creative and impactful PR strategies to increase awareness and visibility of our iconic brands. You’ll help tell the brand’s story to the media, and you’ll get to do that by leveraging a vault full of available assets like brand ambassadors/celebrities, social influencers, sponsorships, a continuous string of new and innovative product news, and more. This person will also work collaboratively with the Global PR Team in North America to ensure a cohesive alignment with the overall plans and the brands’ priorities and objectives.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
1. Be a key pillar in continuing to shape and drive a holistic, global public relations approach.
2. Oversee creation and execution of highly effective, engaging consumer PR strategies in EMEA.
3. Manage PR agency of record for EMEA, working closely with them and other external partners to keep the team focused on priorities, producing results, and staying on budget.
4. Continually seek, recommend, and implement new and exciting external communication opportunities.
5. Provide ongoing marketing communications counsel to brand marketing teams.
6. Work collaboratively with team members to maximize ROI across sponsorships, influencers, vehicle owners, brand ambassadors, and others.
7. Work collaboratively with regional communications teams across the globe
8. Keep a finger on the pulse of trends in relevant categories; clearly and confidently share thoughts and recommendations to optimize communications.
9. Serve as primary point-of-contact for inbound and outbound media activity in EMEA
10. Oversee proactive PR-based earned media strategy for the EMEA region.
11. Be creative in developing concepts and pitches for media outreach
12. Maintain an up-to-date media list and create new relationships with journalists
13. Own reactive day-to-day press information and materials request fulfillment
14. Write. A lot. In an awesome way. (plans, press materials, product documents, etc.)
15. Build PR toolkits to be adapted and leveraged in EMEA
16. Facilitate interviews with spokespeople.
17. Participate to media event planning and execution, and support in always enhancing PR in-person activations. Be ready to travel when necessary.

18. Monitor and track EMEA external communications results.
19. Analyze results and present for trends and areas of opportunity.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
The best candidate is deeply passionate about media relations and communications. He/She actively consumes all forms of media and is very familiar with trends in on- and offline media consumption. A creative and strategic mind, clear communication, and presentation skills, as well as outstanding collaboration skills, are required.
·Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, or related field to the job
·5 to 8 years of relevant public relations experience in the EMEA region
·Strong passion for powersports, watersports and outdoor activities
·Excellent knowledge of the media landscape in France and Germany, and familiar with extended European media landscape
·Excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English (another language such as Spanish or German is a strong asset)
·Strong work ethic, hands on approach, high attention to detail
·Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
