IT Security Engineer for a Private Bank in Geneva We are seeking an IT Security Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for safeguarding organizational IT infrastructure and ensuring robust security across in-house applications, networks, and systems. This role is pivotal in implementing cutting-edge security measures, responding to threats, and maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory and organizational standards.
Your Responsibilities:
Design and implement security technologies for in-house application developments to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.
Maintain and enhance network security controls, including managing firewall policies, network segregation, encryption standards, and multi-factor authentication setups.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate “security by design and default” principles into infrastructure and application development projects.
Evaluate, select, and implement security tools tailored to organizational needs and objectives.
Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, continuously adapting security strategies accordingly.
Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate risks.
Conduct incident response activities, including forensic analysis, and develop actionable remediation plans to address breaches.
Advise stakeholders on mitigating risks and drive initiatives to close identified security gaps.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation.
Technical Skills Required:
Firewall Expertise : Advanced configuration and management skills to ensure optimal protection.
Reverse Proxy : Proficiency in setup, optimization, and secure implementation.
Mail Gateway : Hands-on experience in configuring secure email systems.
Vulnerability Assessment : Expert-level ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks.
Patching : Consistent and effective system update management.
System Hardening : Expertise in securing systems to reduce vulnerabilities.
Observability : Comprehensive insight into systems to ensure proactive risk management.
Monitoring : Proficient in managing system alerts and maintaining system health.
Network Routing : Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and managing routing protocols.
Your Profile:
Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on infrastructure security, incident response, and risk mitigation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex incidents and drive solutions.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, emerging threats, and best practices in cybersecurity.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are an advantage.
