Could you be the full-time Traction Control Engineer (f/m/d) in Zürich we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
140 years of Swiss railway history meet modern solutions for green mobility in Zurich. With 300 colleagues, our Zurich site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Udo Sorg, Traction Control Site Metier Manage, and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
* Technical lead for the the entire embedded converter software development cycle for a vehicle project
* Project setup, planning and reporting
* Coordination with Propulsion and Converter Design, Vehicle Integrator and other stakeholders
* Software design, implementation and parametrization
* Software testing on HIL-simulators, in the powerlab and during commissioning on the vehicle
* Field Support – analysis of incidents resulting from the operation of the vehicle during commissioning and during customer service
All About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
* Degree in Electrical engineering (MSc, BSc) with a specialization in power electronics and/or control systems
* Good knowledge of power converters, IGBT devices, traction systems and motors
* Advanced knowledge of control techniques and Microcontroller, DSP, FPGA programming
* Good knowledge of simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, PLECS)
* Software development experience
* German and English fluently, other languages are an advantage
