Join our team as a financial accountant at Julius Baer, where you will play a vital role in managing accounting responsibilities for both domestic and international financial entities. As port of this dynamic role, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to the optimization of internal processes and project.
YOUR CHALLENGE
1. Responsibility for accounting, monitoring of Bank Julius Baer as well as domestic and foreign financial companies of the Julius Baer Group
2. Preparation of monthly financial statements including business reports for various companies and VAT returns according to local law for various companies
3. Manage compliance with internal controls (ICS)
4. Participation in setting up/implementing internal and external accounting regulations (concerning banks and other financial companies)
5. Analysis of local conditions in the area of Financial Accounting, taxes, etc.
6. Cross-divisional analysis of balance sheet or income statement positions
7. Preparation of group reports (according to IFRS) as well as preparation of local reporting
8. Link between Financial Accounting in connection with the optimization of existing internal processes between the individual finance departments (Group Tax, taxes, management accounting, IT operation, payroll, etc.)
9. Oversee for the establishment, acquisition or liquidation of Julius Bär companies
10. Support defining business specifications and help implementing process optimizations related to SAP
11. Continuous technical and professional support worldwide, including trouble shooting
12. Driving continuous improvement within your own areas of responsibility.
13. Collaboration in testing of technical and professional adjustments in the respective applications (e.g. SAP)
YOUR PROFILE
14. Swiss certified accountant or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
15. At least five years' experience in financial accounting, preferably in the banking sector
16. Solid experience with SAP R/3 and/or S/4 HANA advantageous
17. In-depth experience of working with IFRS
18. Proficient in MS Office programs
19. Good communication and collaboration skills
20. Great team player with can-do attitude
21. Excellent verbal and written skills in German and English
