Job Description
For an estimated client, we are looking for an AS400 Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of IBM i (AS400)-based management systems.
Role Description:
The selected candidate will join the IT team of our client in the Fashion-Luxury sector and will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of applications based on IBM i (AS400). The ideal candidate has experience in software development using RPG (RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free RPG) and CL and is capable of collaborating with different teams to ensure the proper functioning of the company's IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform.
2. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
3. Optimize existing code and troubleshoot any bugs.
4. Integrate AS400 solutions with other enterprise systems and API interfaces.
5. Support the migration of any legacy applications to more modern solutions.
6. Draft technical and operational documentation.
7. Collaborate with various departments to ensure IT support for business operations.
Required Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in IBM i (AS400) development with RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free RPG, and CL.
2. Knowledge of DB2 for i and SQL.
3. Familiarity with development and debugging tools in the IBM i environment.
4. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
5. Good knowledge of the Italian language.
6. Good knowledge of the English language.
Nice to Have:
1. Experience integrating with ERP systems.
2. Knowledge of modern programming languages for potential integrations (Java, .NET, API Rest, Web Services).
3. Experience in AS400 modernization projects.
