Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines Supply Chain Global Planning are recruiting for a Senior Manager End-to-End (E2E) Product Planning. This position can be located in the United States (Titusville, NJ, Horsham, PA, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), Switzerland (Zug), Ireland (Cork), Netherlands (Leiden), Belgium (Beerse, Geel), or Italy (Latina). The successful candidate will report to one of the Directors for E2E Product Planning.

Overview:
The End-to-End (E2E) Planning organization is responsible for driving the E2E planning processes (Sense & Respond, Scenario Planning, Supply Chain Optimization and Synchronize Network) for the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain portfolio. The Senior Manager, E2E Product Planning, is responsible for the development of the E2E Supply Chain configuration, defines the E2E Net Requirements, aligns Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Inventory plans towards inventory targets and manages the E2E short term exceptions with a high degree of autonomy for the assigned brands, including new products. These planning processes ultimately serve as an input into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This is an excellent opportunity for future career growth!
Key responsibilities include:
Configures the E2E Supply Chain (SC)
* Defines inventory de-coupling points and develops replenishment strategies
* Sets supply chain parameters in alignment with sites, e.g., batch sizes, make frequencies, safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, lead times, etc.
* Ensures planning parameters (e.g. safety stock, lead times) are effectively implemented
Ensures the development & alignment of constrained E2E production and inventory plans
* Ensures accurate generation of requirements (Finished Goods, Bulk, API) across the supply chain
* Develops scenarios to avoid or resolve potential constraints with some guidance and provides this guidance as needed to others to resolve issues
* Is accountable for adherence to the inventory targets by aligning the different MPS with the overall product demand, in line with E2E SC configuration
Takes part in the IBP process
* Actively participates and represents Global Planning for their brand(s) in the IBP process with some guidance
* Effectively communicates complex scenarios to influence decision-making through IBP process. Supports cross-functional alignment on proposed optimal scenarios.
* Connects the outputs of the Site Supply Review meetings (SRM’s), develops the E2E scenarios and resolutions, and translates early warnings into the IBP processes to provide transparency of risks and opportunities to drive profitable trade-off decisions.
Resolves E2E issues
* Is accountable for resolving the E2E issues within the STEM process with some guidance
* Leads root cause analysis and stock-out analysis
* Is accountable for allocation of API and bulk, and responsible to work out the allocation of Finished Goods supply to avoid stock-outs, while Customer Management is accountable for the final decision.
Leads a matrix team
* Drives a multi-platform product-based planning team, directly or indirectly, through the Monthly Planning Cycle (MPC) to ensure implementation of the E2E SC configuration, to ensure supply to patients and to achieve the E2E inventory targets
* Represents Planning function on the Value Chain Team (VCT) and drives the E2E planning improvements in line with product strategies, get alignment on the E2E MPC, and incorporate the feedback on projects into the plans
* Navigates complex and ambiguous environments, shapes strategies and solutions, and demonstrates resilience to achieve successful outcomes while maintaining big picture perspective in E2E planning processes
Leads and/or supports business process improvement initiatives. Supports change management to facilitate smooth transitions and enhance organizational adaptability. May serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for E2E planning processes or systems.
Metrics: Service level, Plan Attainment, Inventory/DOS, SLOB, stock-out avoidance
This function works closely with various partners including Demand and Supply Planning Managers, Value Chain Leaders (VCLs), Launch Management, Customer Management (CM), Manufacturing Technical Operations (MTO), Finance, and Procurement.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is preferred
* A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant supply chain experience is required
* Supply chain planning experience is required, preferably in a multi-echelon supply chain
* Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience in the Health Care Industry or related industries is required
* Experience working across organizational boundaries in a global environment is required
* Supply Chain certifications (APICS / IBF) and Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications are desirable
* SAP/OMP experience is required
* Demonstrated experience with several of the following processes: inventory management and inventory entitlement, supply chain management, supply planning/master production scheduling, scenario analysis, IBP, process excellence (Lean, 6sigma), and systems (SAP R/3, APO, BW, OMP)
* Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
* Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels
* Utilizes business and financial acumen to influence E2E decisions & key outcomes.
* Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scenarios to senior leadership with minimal guidance.
* High proficiency with Microsoft software packages (Excel, Power Point)
* Flexible hours needed on ad hoc basis to accommodate working with different time zones
* This position may require up to 15% of domestic and international travel
