The FWT Qualifier and Junior Communication Coordinator plays a pivotal role in bridging the Communication team and the Sports Development team. This individual will assist the Sports Development team with seasonal communication, manage social media to engage and entertain the Junior and Qualifier communities, and provide support in various areas.
About FWT
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) team consists of 15-20 young and passionate staff based near Lausanne, Switzerland. They work year-round to organize the five-stop Freeride World Tour circuit, including the renowned Xtreme Verbier event. The team also coordinates over 90 Qualifier events and Junior events worldwide, overseeing a global community of + licensed riders.
This involves significant work and travel, but also allows for time at events with the Freeride World Tour Family. This unique community comprises over people, including external staff, riders, and partners. Working with FWT is a life-changing experience that fosters personal and professional growth through encounters with inspiring individuals.
The work environment is dynamic and occasionally chaotic, but encourages proactivity and the sharing of new ideas regardless of position or background. Telework and flexible work arrangements are promoted, while physical teamwork is emphasized as essential for success.
Meet the Team
The Communication team produces content and tells compelling stories about the competitions and riders of the Freeride World Tour. This tour is recognized as the pinnacle of freeriding competition, and it is the Sports Development team responsible for organizing Challenger, Qualifier, and Junior events.
These events represent the pyramid of the sport and serve as the direct link between the organization and the riders. Due to the diversity of tasks and projects, team members interact with people from all backgrounds, including event organizers, athletes, coaches, and more.
Rigor is required to ensure smooth operation throughout the season. However, the experience is richer due to continuous fieldwork throughout the winter. Your Missions
The ideal candidate should possess extensive skills and experiences in social media management, focusing on handling the FWT Qualifier and FWT Junior communities. Responsibilities include scheduling, publishing, and monitoring social media posts across multiple platforms, sourcing content from athletes, partners, and event organizers, and coordinating social media during events.
Apart from social media, the Communication Coordinator is also responsible for the newsletter, webnews creation, and some visual productions. This includes gathering, editing, and publishing relevant content, ensuring the brand voice and messaging align with the company's overall message.
Delivering fast results, working comfortably in stressful environments (events life), and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures are essential qualities for this position.
