We are looking for a CAPEX Procurement Project Lead to join our client's team (pharmaceutical industry) as a consultant (this is a new position).
Your Responsibilities
The Project Procurement Lead manages the procurement activities for assigned investment projects and coordinates their planning and execution. You will hold strategic responsibility for procurement in the construction of manufacturing, laboratory, and office facilities projects ranging from 5 to 500 million.
Your duties include:
Developing the Procurement Execution Strategy: Create and coordinate procurement activities for assigned investment projects;
End-to-End Commercial Ownership: Take complete responsibility for procurement, including expediting, contract management, and contract closeout for Goods (Process equipment, electrical equipment, air handling units (AHUs), black utilities pumps and valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, automation systems, and spare parts) and Services: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical, cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering, and planning;
Managing the Procurement Master Plan (PMP): Actively oversee the PMP during project execution to ensure timely reporting, risk identification, and mitigation strategies;
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Project procurement team members, support functions such as Quality, EHS, Legal, Finance, HR, etc., and key third-party collaborators.
These duties are not exhaustive and may evolve based on the recruited candidate.
About You
With a higher education background in procurement, supply chain, or equivalent, you should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in CAPEX project and procurement management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
You possess:
Excellent business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
Team player attributes with the ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams;
Initiative and resilience, enabling you to thrive in an exciting, ever-changing environment;
Technical training or similar qualifications in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering is an advantage.
Fluent English is required (German a strong advantage).
